About The Project
When Gourdough’s the made-to-order donut trailer joint in Austin, Texas told us they wanted to open a brick and mortar restaurant that served cocktails along with their big fat donuts, it got us thinking in some directions.
However, we didn’t want to completely depart from the existing Gourdough’s brand, because we felt that it already had the perfect nostalgic look and feel for the direction we wanted to head in. We drew our initial inspiration from the Ireland descent that we created for the charature Gourdough. Which led us to the naming of Gourdough’s Public House.
After the naming, we consulted on the interior design and built a flexible and comprehensive set of identity materials including a logo system, menu, apparel, in-store promotions, exterior/interior signage, website, extensive brand style guide for franchising purposes and a few other branded materials.
The Original Gourdough’s trailer branding was done by our friend Cody Haltom over at Public School.
